My appointment was a classic case of calling to get information, only to get misinformation in the salon once my hair was cut! Then she made it extre...mely awkward until she realized how it came across. That being said, as a person who attended an Ivy league university, one of the things they teach is to always speak to about on a topic that you are well versed in to novice as if they are in kindergarten. This goes for any profession! Perhaps I am used to being around those who are very clear and specific about what and how they relay information and/or data/research. At my job, you get fired for relaying wrong information. Even in this review, I am trying to be very surface. Of course, I could use big, huge, fancy words, but what does that mean if the other person cannot understand it? Nothing! As I always do, I tried to deflect the situation and dismissed my own feelings and made a joke that I was ‘slow.’ This is clearly far from the truth but I tried to make a joke to make her not mess up my hair (similarly to being nice to someone who is doing your nails or eyebrows, or serving your food—you continue to lighten the mood to ensure they do not do something negative to you). In saying I was ‘slow’ was me flipping that comment on its head considering my schooling/education/profession. It was a sly way of saying “explain things as if I was in kindergarten. I mean I literally said I did not grow up with the education on hair care as my parents are African. She did not respond to that comment. She was using terminology that I just did not know, so I just said “what?” or “huh”? I will not come back, but lessons were learned on both ends! Laslty, my appointment was supposed to be at 2 but didn’t get seated until 230 or 235. Show more

Although you won't return I am happy to have cut all the damage hair and give you a complimentary restoration treatment and educate you on healthy hair routines for future growth. We created a Vegan based salon so heat damage or chemical damage can be a thing of the past. I wish I could continue to pamper you and rebuild your hair from the inside out. I recently completed a hair restoration certificate about a week ago so I'm excited to share everything I've learn with my guest. Sorry to overwhelm you with so much information. Hair care is an art form and I love expressing to my Glam Girls. Again I apologize you experience didn't meet your expectations.
